We're looking for unique, well-written perspectives on life.  We're keen to the plight of women in publishing and how far of an uphill climb they still have to stand on equal ground with their male counterparts, so we're often on the lookout for strong female voices. But we're not going to reject a great piece of work by a man just because he never felt it necessary to submit under a female pseudonym.

We're not interested in characters lacking desire or conflict, or who overcome it all by finding Jesus. On the flip side, please don't send us anti-religious diatribes. There is a middle ground for spirituality in literature with vast depth. If you've found it, we're interested. In general, we love blue-collar stories—people struggling with life, love, financial security, and the pursuit of functional happiness. That said, we don't throw our noses up at anything that's well written.
